About the Conference:

This biennial forum is the flagship conference of the CSME. Its purpose is to promote communication and transfer of research output and technology among industry, government agencies, universities and R&D laboratories. The Forum encompasses all aspects of Mechanical Engineering.

Venue:

The conference will be held 5 - 8 June 2008 at the University of Ottawa campus located in the heart of Ottawa. Accommodation has been arranged at the University of Ottawa residences and a number of downtown Ottawa hotels.

Call for Papers:

Original papers in either English or French are sought on all topics in Mechanical Engineering concerns. A non exclusive list of topics is provided for guidance herein. Papers submitted for presentation at the conference will be refereed and selected based on a full (8 pages maximum) paper. All papers selected for presentation will be published in the electronic conference proceedings. Further information and instructions will be announced later and will be posted on the conference web site.

The conference early-bird registration fee is set at $260 (including the banquet) to encourage participation, particularly of graduate students. After 31 March the fee is $400. Each delegate can present only one paper. Authors must present their papers and pay the registration fee to see their papers appear in the program and proceedings. A delegate can have more than one paper in the conference; however, each paper must be presented by a different delegate. The number of delegates is capped at 450.
