Biography

Following his doctoral studies, Dr. McLean spent 20 months as Manager of Quality Control with Lynn MacLeod Metallurgy, Thetford Mines, QC. He joined the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Ottawa in September of 1977 and continues to be active in teaching, research and administration including terms as Chair of Chemical Engineering, Co-op Coordinator, Grad Studies Coordinator, Vice Dean and Acting Dean. He has carried out collaborative research, teaching and consulting with numerous companies and governmental organizations including NORTEL, INCO, SPAR, SHELL, University of Ottawa Heart Institute, CANMET and the Canadian Conservation Institute.
