BIOGRAPHY
-
- Although a native of Mexico, Dr. Redekop received his high school and university education in Canada. Following graduation he served for four years in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of the West Indies. In 1982 he joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ottawa, where he has been active in research, teaching, and administration. He has concentrated his research in the area of shell structures, and has collaborated with engineers from Trinidad, Cuba, India, China, as well as Canada. In 1995 he received the CSME Trans. best paper award for work on vibration of toroidal shells. He is currently on research leave.
