    Determine the order of the reaction and the specific reaction rate constant. Note: you may want to examine this data closely.

     

  3. Consider the gas phase constant volume decomposition of dimethyl ether at 504oC in a batch reactor:

Assuming that only dimethyl ether is initially present, determine the specific reaction rate constant k from the data below. Hint: first check to see what the fractional conversion of dimethyl ether is at the end of the reaction and make your judgements accordingly.
